Manifold (scanmanifold.com) is a field documentation app for contractors. It combines GPS photo documentation, digital checklists, 3D scanning, punch lists, client sharing, and PDF report generation in a single mobile app for iOS and Android.
It is designed for trade contractors, restoration companies, renovation contractors, and general contractors running crews of 1 to 50 people. It is not enterprise construction management software — it does not have drawing management, bidding, or financial tools. It does one thing: help field crews document job sites properly and share that documentation with clients and adjusters.
Every photo taken through Manifold is automatically GPS-tagged with the job site coordinates and timestamped at capture. Photos are organised by project automatically and are searchable by project months or years later. This is the baseline feature — what separates Manifold from a camera roll.
Orbit Measure is Manifold's video-based 3D scanning feature. Walk a space for 60 seconds recording standard video with any iOS or Android phone — no LiDAR required. Upload the video, and Manifold's servers process it into a fully measurable 3D model viewable in any browser. Anyone can view and measure the model without installing an app.
Accuracy: approximately half an inch under normal conditions. Use cases: remote measurements, existing conditions documentation, client sharing, as-built records, insurance adjuster documentation.
This is the most practically differentiated feature in Manifold's stack. No other field documentation tool offers any-phone 3D scanning at this price point.
For iPhone 12 Pro and newer, Floor Plan Scan uses Apple's LiDAR sensor to generate dimensioned 2D floor plans automatically. Faster than Orbit Measure for simple rectangular spaces; produces the floor plan format preferred by architects and engineers.
Build custom checklist templates once, deploy to any project. Each checklist item can require a photo before it can be marked complete — turning assertions into evidence. Templates work for commissioning checklists, pre-work condition documentation, punch lists, and closeout verification.
Every project generates a shareable link that clients, adjusters, and engineers can open in a browser. No account required. No app download. The gallery shows all photos organised by project. The 3D model from Orbit Measure is also shareable via link.
One tap exports a PDF report of any project — photos organised by phase, checklist completion, project details. Professional enough to email to a client or adjuster without embarrassment.
Manifold integrates directly with Jobber. Jobber jobs appear in Manifold automatically — crew members select the job and start documenting without creating a duplicate project entry.
