Documentation at the measure stage, during installation, and at handover protects against the two most common disputes in this trade: incorrect measurements that result in ill-fitting cabinets, and damage claims from clients who can't remember what the space looked like before installation started.
Before any order is placed, the existing space needs to be measured and documented. This means photographs of every wall, ceiling height, soffit, window, electrical outlet, switch, plumbing, and anything that will affect the cabinet layout. These photos serve two purposes: they're the reference for your installer when the cabinet order arrives, and they're the baseline record of what the space looked like before your crew touched it.
