Manifold turns what you already have — a walkthrough video, a spec, an inspection form — into a first draft. You stay in charge: everything lands in the normal editor for you to check before it goes anywhere.

No more typing up notes after the site visit. Record one video, describe what you see as you walk, and Manifold builds the report: a still of each item, a short caption from what you said, grouped by area.
In the Manifold app on iPhone or Android, open the project, tap Video and walk the job. Say what you see — “cracked tile beside the tub”, “outlet by the door is missing its cover”.
Open the video in Manifold on the web and press Generate report. The draft shows up in the project timeline a few minutes later.
A cover photo, a summary that lists every item noted, and photo pages grouped by area — one still per item, each with a one-line caption from what you said and what’s in the shot.
Change any caption or heading, add sections, then post it. Download the PDF or send a share link — your client doesn’t need an account. Your company logo and colour are on every report.
Good to know
Hold the camera on each item for a second while you describe it — Manifold picks the sharpest frame around that moment. You can’t snap photos while the video is recording, but you don’t need to: the stills come from the video. Included with any paid plan, from $16/user/month.
Checklist from a document · Beta · All plans
Your checklists already exist — in a spec, a scope of work, an inspection form, a PDF from the GC. Retyping twenty items is why they never make it into the app. Paste the text and Manifold does the typing.
In Manifold on the web, go to Add Checklist → + From a document and paste the text — up to about fifteen pages.
A PDF on the project timeline has a make checklist button. One click builds the checklist from it — no downloading and re-uploading.
Each check becomes one step, in the order it appears, in your document’s own words. Headings, page numbers and boilerplate are left out. Anything to inspect gets a required photo, readings and serial numbers get a comment, and sign-offs get a check mark.
The checklist opens in the normal editor. Change any step or its proof, then deploy it to a project. It’s saved as a checklist type you can reuse on every job.
